Dengue claims 4 more lives; 247 hospitalized in 24 hrs
Four more people have died from dengue in the last 24 hours. During the same period, 247 new dengue patients have been admitted to hospitals across the country.
The data was revealed in a press release issued on Saturday (August 23) by the Health Emergency Operation Center and Control Room of the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).
According to the report, the highest number of hospitalizations occurred in Dhaka South City Corporation, with 68 new cases, followed by 57 in Chattogram division (outside the City Corporation), 56 in Barishal division (outside the City Corporation), 32 in Dhaka North City Corporation, 31 in Dhaka division (outside the City Corporation), and 3 in Mymensingh division (outside the City Corporation).
Meanwhile, 226 dengue patients have recovered and been discharged in the last 24 hours. So far this year, a total of 26,781 dengue patients have been released from hospitals after treatment.
