Five more deaths from dengue were reported in the last 24 hours till Monday morning, bringing the total number of fatalities from the mosquito-borne disease in Bangladesh to 163 this year. During this time, 1,152 more patients were hospitalized with viral fever, according to the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS). The notification said that 80 people died from dengue this month, with a total of 18,097 patients identified. The notification also reported new hospital admissions: 70 in Barisal Division, 233 in Chattogram Division, 219 in Dhaka Division (outside City Corporation), 252 in Dhaka North City, 187 in Dhaka South City, and 86 in Khulna Division. Additionally, 40 patients were admitted in Rajshahi Division, 27 in Mymensingh Division, and 38 in Rangpur Division.

ডেঙ্গুতে আক্রান্ত হয়ে গত ২৪ ঘণ্টায় আরও পাঁচজন মারা গেছেন। এ সময়ে ডেঙ্গু আক্রান্ত হয়ে হাসপাতালে ভর্তি হয়েছে ১ হাজার ১৫২ জন। সোমবার (৩০ সেপ্টেম্বর) স্বাস্থ্য অধিদপ্তরের হেলথ ইমার্জেন্সি অপারেশন সেন্টার ও কন্ট্রোল রুম থেকে পাঠানো এক বিজ্ঞপ্তিতে এ তথ্য জানানো হয়েছে। বিজ্ঞপ্তি অনুসারে, চলতি মাসের ৩০ দিনে ডেঙ্গুতে আক্রান্ত হয়ে ৮০ জনের মৃত্যু হলো। আর এ সময়ে মোট রোগী শনাক্ত হয়েছেন ১৮ হাজার ৯৭ জন। বিজ্ঞপ্তিতে আরও বলা হয়েছে, হাসপাতালে নতুন ভর্তিদের মধ্যে বরিশাল বিভাগে ৭০ জন, চট্টগ্রাম বিভাগে ২৩৩, ঢাকা বিভাগে (সিটি করপোরেশনের বাইরে) ২১৯, ঢাকা উত্তর সিটিতে ২৫২, ঢাকা দক্ষিণ সিটিতে ১৮৭, খুলনা বিভাগে ৮৬ জন রয়েছেন। এ ছাড়া রাজশাহী বিভাগে ৪০ জন, ময়মনসিংহ বিভাগে ২৭ ও রংপুর বিভাগে ৩৮ জন রোগী হাসপাতালে ভর্তি হয়েছে। স্বাস্থ্য অধিদপ্তর জানিয়েছে, এ বছরের জানুয়ারি থেকে এখন পর্যন্ত সব মিলিয়ে ৩০ হাজার ৯৩৮ জন রোগী হাসপাতালে ভর্তি হয়েছে। এ বছরে এখন পর্যন্ত ডেঙ্গুতে মারা গেছেন ১৬৩ জন।
