Dengue claims one more life, 750 hospitalised

The Directorate General of Health Services has reported one more dengue death across the country in the past 24 hours. During the same period, 750 new dengue patients were admitted to hospitals.

With this, the death toll from dengue this year has risen to 77, while a total of 27,022 people have been hospitalised with dengue since the beginning of the year.

According to data provided by the Directorate General of Health Services, among the newly admitted patients in the past 24 hours, 61 were admitted to hospitals under Dhaka North City Corporation area and 47 to hospitals under Dhaka South City Corporation area on Thursday.

Outside the two city corporations of Dhaka, 122 dengue patients were admitted to hospitals in Dhaka division. Besides, 121 were admitted in Barishal, 96 in Chattogram, 173 in Khulna, 56 in Mymensingh, 57 in Rajshahi, 14 in Rangpur and three in Sylhet.
