Depression over Bay of Bengal triggers cautionary signal no. 3 for sea ports
A low-pressure system has developed over the northern Bay of Bengal, causing active cloud formations and rough seas.
The Meteorological Department has instructed four sea ports—Chattogram, Cox’s Bazar, Mongla, and Payra—to hoist a No. 3 local warning.
The system may bring strong to stormy winds over the northern Bay, Bangladesh’s coastal areas, and the ports.
Fishing boats and trawlers in the northern Bay have been advised to stay close to shore and navigate cautiously until further notice.
