Deprived deputy secretaries of 25 different cadres to be promoted this month

Md Obaidur Rahman, additional secretary of the Recruitment, Promotion, and Transfer (APD) of the Ministry of Public Administration, said that deputy secretaries from 25 different cadres, who have been deprived of promotions, will be promoted in December.

He made these remarks while speaking to the media at the Secretariat on Tuesday (December 3).

He said, "We are working on promoting the qualified deputy secretaries from 25 cadres, excluding the administration cadre. The SSB members have told us to finish this task first. We are working on it and will set a date to move forward."

Md Obaidur Rahman further said, "Only those who are eligible will be promoted. However, those with various negative reports in their annual confidential records or who are under departmental disciplinary action will not be eligible for promotion."

"Those who are slightly more senior and those who became undersecretaries later will also be considered," he added.
