Dhaka sky partly cloudy, rain likely
The sky over Dhaka and surrounding areas may remain partly cloudy to temporarily overcast, with chances of rain or thundershowers.
The Storm Warning Centre of the Bangladesh Meteorological Department issued the forecast on Tuesday, September 30, morning.
According to the forecast, rain or thundershowers may occur in Dhaka within the next six hours from the morning. Winds from the south and south-east may blow at a speed of 10 to 15 kilometres per hour. However, there is unlikely to be any major change in daytime temperatures.
At 6am today, Dhaka’s temperature was recorded at 27.4 degrees Celsius with 95 percent humidity. Yesterday, the highest temperature in the capital was 33.3 degrees Celsius and the lowest was 27.1 degrees Celsius. Rainfall in Dhaka in the last 24 hours was negligible or ‘trace’.
Meanwhile, the forecast for the whole country said light to moderate rain or thundershowers may occur in some areas of Chattogram division and at one or two places in Rangpur, Rajshahi, Mymensingh, Dhaka, Khulna, Barishal and Sylhet divisions by 6pm today. Moderate to heavy rainfall is also likely in some areas. Day and night temperatures across the country are expected to remain nearly unchanged.
