Dhaka's rail communications with rest of country restored
The rail communication between Dhaka and the rest of the country has restored after being closed for about 6 hours.
At the same time Dhaka-bound trains stuck at various stations have started arriving in the capital.
The train service resumed around 4:15pm on Thursday (November 21).
Dhaka Railway Stationmaster Mohammad Anwar Hossain confirmed the matter.
He said that train movement started from Dhaka at 4:10pm. Jamalpur express train, which was in a schedule mess, left first. Ekta, Kishoreganj, Jayantika and Agnibeena Express trains will leave gradually.
The movement of trains has been stopped since 10am due to the blockade on the railway line by the battery-run auto-rickshaw drivers.
No train left or arrived from Dhaka station after 10am.
