Difficult times ahead for country: Mirza Fakhrul
Difficult times lie ahead for the country, and the war is causing significant damage, Local Government, Rural Development and Cooperatives Minister and BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir has said. Fuel prices and other commodity prices will rise, but the country must move forward by enduring these challenges.
He made these remarks while speaking as the chief guest at the inauguration of the Neha River re-excavation programme in Raypur union of Thakurgaon Sadar upazila on Monday afternoon, March 23.
Mirza Fakhrul said, "Due to the war, fuel supply has decreased, but vandalising pumps is not appropriate. We will suppress illegal activities with a firm hand." He further stated that no irregularities or corruption will be tolerated in the canal excavation programme, and party and legal action will be taken against those involved.
