The temperature in Dinajpur dropped to 10.3°C on Saturday morning, the lowest recorded this year.

Dense fog and icy winds have intensified the cold, causing significant hardship for low-income and working-class residents.

The Regional Meteorological Office reported a humidity level of 93% and a wind speed of only 1 km/h in the district. Although the sun made a brief appearance, its warmth was barely noticeable.

Many workers, especially those without adequate clothing, are struggling in the cold, and road accidents have increased due to poor visibility from dense fog.

Latifur Rahman, a battery rickshaw driver, said, "It’s becoming difficult to operate during the early mornings and evenings due to the cold and lack of passengers. As a result, our income has significantly dropped."
