Dismembered body found in travel bag in Gazipur

Police recovered dismembered body of an unidentified man from a travel bag in Tongi’s Station Road area Friday morning (August 8).

The remains, wrapped in black polythene, included the head, both hands, parts of the torso, and one leg, according to Tongi East Police.

Locals discovered the abandoned bag around 9:30am and alerted authorities after noticing a foul odor.

Sub-Inspector Mosabbir Hossain said initial evidence suggests the victim was killed elsewhere and the body was dumped in the area. “CCTV footage from nearby locations is being reviewed to identify those involved,” he added.
