Dismembered body recovered in front of High Court
A dismembered body has been recovered from a drum near the National Eidgah ground in the High Court area of the capital. The incident took place around 6:30pm on Thursday, November 13.
Shahbagh Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Khalid Monsur said that the dismembered parts of a body were found inside a small blue drum left on the footpath in front of a water pump at the corner of the High Court Mazar field. The identity of the body could not be confirmed.
Deputy Commissioner (DC) of Dhaka Metropolitan Police’s Ramna Division Md Masud Alam said two drums were found beside the Eidgah ground. One contained the body, and the other contained rice.
He said, “We are collecting CCTV footage from the surrounding area to investigate how the incident occurred.”
