DMP arrests 56 in anti-crime drive in capital

As part of ongoing operations to curb crime in the capital, the Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) has arrested 56 individuals from various areas under its Tejgaon division.

Deputy Commissioner (DC) of DMP's Media and Public Relations Division, N M Nasir Uddin, confirmed the matter on Monday night, April 27.

The arrestees include four from Tejgaon police station area, two from Sher-e-Bangla Nagar, 27 from Mohammadpur, seven from Adabor, six from Tejgaon Industrial Area police station, and ten from Hatirjheel police station.

According to DMP, the arrested individuals face charges of various crimes. Legal action has been taken against them, and they have been produced before the court.

DMP said such operations will continue in the future to maintain the law and order situation in the capital.
