DMP bans all gatherings around Jamuna, adjacent areas

The Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) has imposed a ban on all types of meetings, processions, and public gatherings around the Chief Adviser’s official residence, Jamuna, and nearby areas to ensure public order and security.

The restriction, effective from Thursday (November 6) until further notice, was announced in a public notice signed by DMP Commissioner Sheikh Md Sajjat Ali on Wednesday.

According to the order, gatherings are prohibited in areas surrounding the Secretariat and Jamuna residence, including the Intercontinental Crossing, Kakrail Mosque Crossing, Officers’ Club Crossing, and Mintoo Road Crossing, under Section 29 of the DMP Ordinance.
