The restriction will take effect from Friday, August 8, and will remain in force until further notice, according to a public notice signed by DMP Commissioner Sheikh Md Sajjat Ali.
“In the interest of maintaining public order and ensuring the safety of the Chief Adviser, all types of gatherings—meetings, processions, human chains, and sit-ins—are prohibited in the Secretariat area and surrounding locations, including the Chief Advisor’s residence,” the notice stated.
The restricted zone includes the areas between the Hotel Intercontinental Crossing, Kakrail Mosque Crossing, Officers Club Crossing, and Minto Road Crossing.
