DMP implements extensive security for Jamaat rally

The Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) is closely monitoring law and order around Jamaat-e-Islami’s national rally at Suhrawardy Udyan in the capital. Comprehensive security measures have been established to prevent any incidents and protect public safety.

Since Saturday morning (July 19), extra police personnel have been stationed at key intersections throughout the capital. Both plainclothes and uniformed officers are actively patrolling around Suhrawardy Udyan and nearby areas such as Shahbagh, Doel Square, Matsya Bhaban, Bangla Motor, and TSC.

According to DMP sources, the highest level of precautionary measures have been taken to ensure a peaceful rally. Strict surveillance is in place around the venue, and anyone suspicious is being searched thoroughly.

Police are also stationed on the roads leading to Dhaka, which Jamaat leaders and activists are using to enter the city for the rally.

Since early morning, party activists carrying banners and chanting slogans have been heading toward the rally site. To ensure their safety, law enforcement agencies are continuously patrolling the area and managing traffic.

Multiple DMP units are managing overall security at the rally venue. Police officers are coordinating their efforts to ensure safe and smooth movement for both the public and participants.
