The Traffic Police has advised Dhaka residents to allow extra travel time and use alternative routes where possible, as heavy rainfall has caused waterlogging on several key roads across the capital, disrupting vehicular movement.

In a message posted on the Gulshan Division's Facebook page on Monday morning, July 13, the traffic police said waterlogging has slowed traffic on multiple important roads.

The Dhaka Gate road near Banani graveyard is affected on both sides, while the Banani-Kakoli elevated expressway ramp is also experiencing slow traffic due to waterlogging.

Waterlogging near Cantonment Girls' School has slowed vehicles heading from Mirpur DOHS and Kalshi towards Matikata Flyover via ECB.

Traffic is also slow near Jamuna Future Park due to water accumulation and ongoing pipeline installation work by Dhaka WASA.
