DMP names Mirpur best division, Pallabi best thana

Dhaka Metropolitan Police Commissioner Moslehh Uddin Ahmed has awarded officers and units for their contributions to maintaining law and order, controlling crime and ensuring public safety in the capital.

The awards were handed over at the monthly crime review meeting for June at the DMP headquarters on Monday morning, July 13.

Mirpur division was recognised as the best division, while Pallabi was named the best thana. Among assistant police commissioners, Md Shamim Hossain of Demra zone ranked first and Md Abdullah Al Mamun of Mohammadpur zone ranked second.

Among field-level officers, SI Tarun Kumar of Adabor thana took the top spot, with Pallabi's SI Md Saiful Islam second.

DB-Lalbagh was named the best detective unit, while Traffic-Mirpur was the top traffic division.
