DNCC administrator directs proper medical waste management

Dhaka North City Corporation (DNCC) Administrator Md Shafiqul Islam Khan has issued directives on the proper storage and disposal of hospital medical waste.

He gave the instructions at the inauguration of Green Specialised Hospital in Sheorapara, Dhaka, on Friday afternoon, July 17.

The DNCC administrator said medical waste must be stored and disposed of following proper rules and hygiene standards. The DNCC will provide full cooperation in this regard. Any irregularities will be dealt with by the corporation. "If anyone tries to engage in unethical activities at this hospital, we will take action against it," he said.

He added that the hospital has good doctors, and the DNCC will provide further support if needed. The administrator assured that regardless of political affiliation, local residents would receive proper treatment in a good environment, and the DNCC would stand by the hospital to ensure quality services.
