Dr Kamal Hossain, a key architect of Bangladesh’s constitution and founder of Gano Forum, has fallen seriously ill and has been admitted to hospital. He was admitted to Square Hospital in the capital on Friday. Confirming the matter, the publicity and publication secretary of Gano Forum said Dr Kamal Hossain is suffering from lung-related complications and requested prayers from the public for his recovery. Dr Kamal Hossain was last seen in public on Wednesday when he attended the janaza of BNP chairperson Khaleda Zia at Manik Mia Avenue.

বাংলাদেশের সংবিধানের অন্যতম প্রণেতা ও গণফোরামের প্রতিষ্ঠাতা ড. কামাল হোসেন গুরুতর অসুস্থ পড়েছেন। আজ শুক্রবার তাকে রাজধানীর স্কয়ার হাসপাতালে ভর্তি করা হয়েছে। গণফোরামের প্রচার ও প্রকাশনা সম্পাদক মোহাম্মদ উল্লাহ মনু এ তথ্য নিশ্চিত করে জানান, ড. কামাল হোসেন ফুসফুসজনিত সমস্যায় ভুগছেন। তিনি ড. কামাল হোসেনের রোগমুক্তি ও সুস্থতার জন্য দেশবাসীর কাছে দোয়া চেয়েছেন। ড. কামাল হোসেন সর্বশেষ গত বুধবার বিএনপির চেয়ারপারসন খালেদা জিয়ার জানাজায় অংশ নিতে মানিক মিয়া অ্যাভিনিউতে গিয়েছিলেন।
