Dr Nurunnahar Chowdhury appointed new secretary to the Ministry of Shipping

The interim government has appointed Dr Nurunnahar Chowdhury as the new Secretary to the Ministry of Shipping.

Dr Chowdhury, previously serving as Additional Secretary at the Energy and Mineral Resources Division, has been promoted to her new position. She is an officer of the 17th batch of the BCS Administration Cadre.

A notification from the Senior Appointment-1 Wing of the Ministry of Public Administration, issued on Sunday, November 2, confirmed her transfer and promotion.

Prior to this role, Dr Nurunnahar Chowdhury held several key positions, including Additional Secretary at the Ministry of Agriculture, Member (MDS) at the Bangladesh Civil Service Administration Academy, Director at the National Institute of Local Government, and Deputy Secretary at the Ministry of Defence.

She has also participated in a range of professional and skill development training programmes both at home and abroad.
