Dr Tajnuba Jabeen resigns from NCP
Dr. Tajnuva Jabeen, joint convener of the National Citizen Party (NCP), has resigned from all party positions, citing her inability to participate in the upcoming national parliamentary elections.
She confirmed her resignation to the media on Sunday (December 28).
In a post on her verified Facebook account, Dr. Jabeen said, “With a heavy heart, I announce my resignation from NCP. I will not be able to contest in the upcoming elections.”
She expressed regret that her mother had arrived from Chattogram for her potential election campaign, but she was compelled to make the decision.
Dr. Jabeen also assured supporters that all donations sent to her campaign would be returned, writing, “I will refund every contribution. Please give me some time to update you on the process. I am grateful for your support and love.”
She emphasised that although she has never been involved in politics before, her July entry into the political arena was aimed at bringing change. “I will continue to raise my voice and work for democratic reforms in the country,” she added.
