A truck overturned early Thursday morning after losing control on the Dhaka-Khulna highway, resulting in the death of the driver. The accident occurred around 4 a.m. near Fukra Bazar in Kashiani Upazila of Gopalganj. The driver, 32-year-old Jamal Molla, son of the late Shahadat Hossain from Kulia village in Mollahat Upazila, Bagerhat, died instantly at the scene. Md. Ruman Molla, Sub-Inspector of Bhatiapara Highway Police, confirmed the incident. He said the truck was traveling from Dhaka to Khulna when it lost control and overturned by the roadside. After completing legal formalities, the driver’s body was handed over to his family. The authorities are investigating the cause of the accident.

ঢাকা-খুলনা মহাসড়কে নিয়ন্ত্রণ হারিয়ে একটি ট্রাক উল্টে যাওয়ার ঘটনা ঘটেছে। এতে ঘটনাস্থলেই নিহত হন ট্রাকচালক। বৃহস্পতিবার (২৪ জুলাই) ভোর ৪টার দিকে গোপালগঞ্জের কাশিয়ানী উপজেলার ফুকরা বাজার এলাকায় দুর্ঘটনাটি ঘটে। নিহত চালকের নাম জামাল মোল্লা (৩২)। তিনি বাগেরহাটের মোল্লাহাট উপজেলার কুলিয়া গ্রামের মৃত শাহাদাত হোসেনের ছেলে। ভাটিয়াপাড়া হাইওয়ে থানার উপপরিদর্শক (এসআই) মো. রুমান মোল্লা জানান, ঢাকাগামী ট্রাকটি নিয়ন্ত্রণ হারিয়ে সড়কের পাশে উল্টে যায়। পরে আইনি প্রক্রিয়া শেষে নিহতের মরদেহ তার পরিবারের কাছে হস্তান্তর করা হয়। দুর্ঘটনার কারণ অনুসন্ধানে তদন্ত চলছে বলে জানিয়েছেন সংশ্লিষ্ট কর্মকর্তারা।
