A motorcyclist was killed after being struck by a garbage truck operated by the Dhaka South City Corporation (DSCC) in the Banasree area of the capital's Khilgaon. The deceased has been identified as Sajedul Islam, 45, son of Abdul Hakim from 13/6 Omar Ali Lane. Sajedul died instantly from his injuries. The accident took place around 9:20 am near the Singer showroom in this morning (April 4). Shafiqul Islam, officer-in-charged (OC) of Khilgaon Police Station, confirmed about the incident. "Both the truck and the driver have been seized for investigation," he said.

রাজধানীর খিলগাঁও থানার বনশ্রী এলাকায় ঢাকা দক্ষিণ সিটি কর্পোরেশনের (ডিএসসিসি) ময়লার গাড়ি চাপায় সাজেদুল ইসলাম (৪৫) নামে এক ব্যক্তি নিহত হয়েছেন। শনিবার (৪ এপ্রিল) সকাল ৯টা ২০ মিনিটের দিকে বনশ্রীর সিঙ্গার শোরুমের সামনে এ ঘটনা ঘটে। নিহত সাজেদুল ইসলাম খিলগাঁও থানার ১৩/৬ ওমর আলী লেনের আব্দুল হাকিমের ছেলে। বিষয়টি নিশ্চিত করেছেন খিলগাঁও থানার ভারপ্রাপ্ত কর্মকর (ওসি) শফিকুল ইসলাম। তিনি জানান, সকালে ঢাকা দক্ষিণ সিটি কর্পোরেশনের ময়লার গাড়ির চাপায় এক মোটরসাইকেল চালক ঘটনাস্থলে মারা যায়। এই ঘটনায় চালক ও গাড়িটিকে জব্দ করা হয়েছে।
