DU admission test application process begins today

Applications for undergraduate admission to the University of Dhaka for the 2025–26 academic year began today (Wednesday).

Students can apply online from 12:00pm today until 11:59pm on 16 November (Sunday), with an application fee of Tk 1,050.

Eligible candidates must have passed their SSC or equivalent examinations between 2020 and 2023, and the HSC or equivalent examination in 2025.

For eligibility, applicants to the Science Faculty must have a combined GPA of at least 8.0, with a minimum of 3.5 in each exam. For the Arts, Law, and Social Science Faculties, as well as Business Studies, the combined GPA must be at least 7.5, with a minimum of 3.0 in each. For the Fine Arts Faculty, the combined GPA requirement is 6.5, with at least 3.0 in both examinations.

According to the schedule, the admission test for the Fine Arts Faculty will be held on 29 November (Saturday), while the IBA test will take place on 28 November (Friday) from 10:00am to 12:00 noon. The Business Studies Faculty test is set for 6 December, Arts, Law, and Social Science on 13 December, and the Science Faculty on 20 December — all from 11:00am to 12:30pm.

Except for Fine Arts and IBA, the admission tests will be held in Dhaka and seven other divisional centres — Rajshahi University, Chittagong University, Barishal University, Khulna University, Shahjalal University of Science and Technology, Jatiya Kabi Kazi Nazrul Islam University in Mymensingh, and Begum Rokeya University in Rangpur.

Each test, except Fine Arts, will include 60 marks for multiple-choice questions and 40 marks for written questions. The Fine Arts test will comprise 40 marks for MCQs and 60 marks for drawing. Students will be assessed on a total of 120 marks — 100 from the admission test and 20 from their SSC and HSC results.

Applicants can pay the application fee through Sonali, Janata, Agrani, or Rupali Bank branches, as well as online or via mobile financial services.
