DU assesses alternative housing options for Uttara students
To ensure alternative accommodation for students during the construction and renovation of new halls, Dhaka University has conducted a feasibility assessment in Uttara.
As part of identifying a safe and suitable temporary housing arrangement, a high-level delegation visited the Uttara (Diabari) residential area on Tuesday, November 25.
A press release from the university’s Public Relations Office on Wednesday, November 26, said the delegation assessed facilities, security, transportation, and infrastructure to determine the overall feasibility of the location.
The delegation included the university’s Treasurer Professor Dr M. Jahangir Alam Chowdhury, Secretary of the Bridges Division and Executive Director of Bangladesh Bridge Authority Mohammad Abdur Rouf, retired Secretary Dr Kh M Kabirul Islam, Director of Accounts Mohammad Saiful Islam, Acting Chief Engineer Kazi Md Akram Hossain, Acting Estate Manager Fatema Binte Mustafa, Transport Manager Md Kamrul Hasan, DUCSU Vice-President Sadik Kayem, AGS Mohiuddin Khan, and Student Transport Secretary Asif Abdullah.
