Dhaka University authorities will observe August 23 as 'Black Day' to commemorate the attacks and torture on teachers, students, officials and employees of the university between August 20 and 23, 2007.
Prime Minister (PM) Tarique Rahman has given consent to attend the upcoming January convocation of Dhaka University. Dhaka University Vice-Chancellor Professor ABM Obaidul Islam met the Prime Minister at the Secretariat and invited him to join the convocation on Thursday (August 20).
