Dubai-based airline Emirates has announced that it will resume limited-scale flights. Only passengers who have already booked and rebooked are being given priority for travel on these flights, which will resume from Monday (March 2). In a statement, the company said that Emirates authorities will contact these priority passengers directly. For this reason, the airline has specifically requested that general passengers not go to the airport until further notice. All its other regular flights will remain suspended until further notice. It is reported that this decision has been taken considering the situation and to maintain continuity of operations.

দুবাই-ভিত্তিক বিমান সংস্থা এমিরেটস সীমিত পরিসরে পুনরায় ফ্লাইট পরিচালনা শুরু করার ঘোষণা দিয়েছে। সোমবার (২ মার্চ) থেকে চালু হওয়া এসব ফ্লাইটে কেবল আগে থেকে বুকিং করা এবং পুনরায় বুকিং সম্পন্ন হওয়া যাত্রীদের ভ্রমণের ক্ষেত্রে অগ্রাধিকার দেওয়া হচ্ছে। এক বিবৃতিতে প্রতিষ্ঠানটি জানিয়েছে, অগ্রাধিকার পাওয়া এসব যাত্রীদের সঙ্গে এমিরেটস কর্তৃপক্ষ সরাসরি যোগাযোগ করবে। এ কারণে এয়ারলাইন্সের পক্ষ থেকে সুনির্দিষ্টভাবে নিশ্চিত না করা পর্যন্ত সাধারণ যাত্রীদের বিমানবন্দরে না যাওয়ার জন্য বিশেষভাবে অনুরোধ জানানো হয়েছে। পরবর্তী নির্দেশ না দেওয়া পর্যন্ত তাদের অন্যান্য সকল নিয়মিত ফ্লাইট স্থগিত থাকবে। পরিস্থিতি বিবেচনায় এবং কার্যক্রমের ধারাবাহিকতা রক্ষায় এই সিদ্ধান্ত নেওয়া হয়েছে বলে জানা গেছে।
