DUCSU election: 6 more Chhatra Dal leaders expelled for not withdrawing candidacy
Six leaders of the Dhaka University unit of Chhatra Dal have been expelled for life for not withdrawing their candidacies in the DUCSU and hall union elections.
The decision was announced in a press release signed by the organisation’s Office Secretary, Mallik Wasi Uddin Tami, on Monday (September 8) night.
The expelled Chhatra Dal leaders are— Ashiqur Rahman Joy and Nahin Niyaz Mahi of Ziaur Rahman Hall, Sabbir Ahmed Sohan of Surya Sen Hall, Xavier Hasan of Mohsin Hall, Sohanur Rahman Sohag of Fazlul Huq Muslim Hall, and Sifatul Islam of Amar Ekushey Hall.
The press release stated that they were permanently expelled from all organisational positions and primary membership due to breaching organisational discipline.
It further directed members not to maintain any organisational relations with the expelled leaders.
The decisions were approved by Dhaka University Chhatra Dal unit President Ganesh Chandra Roy Sahas and General Secretary Nahiduzzaman Shipon.
