DUCSU voting to be held across 8 centers

According to a notification signed on Friday by Chief Returning Officer Professor Dr. Mohammad Jasim Uddin, this year’s voting for the Dhaka University Central Students’ Union (DUCSU) and hall union elections will be held at eight centers across the campus.


Students of Dr. Muhammad Shahidullah Hall, Amar Ekushey Hall, and Fazlul Haq Muslim Hall will cast their votes at Karzon Hall, while students of Jagannath Hall, Shahid Sergeant Zahurul Haq Hall, and Salimullah Muslim Hall will vote at the Physical Education Center. Rokeya Hall students will vote at the Teacher-Student Center (TSC), and students of Bangladesh–Kuwait Maitree Hall and Bangamata Sheikh Fazilatunnesa Mujib Hall will vote at the Dhaka University Club.


Students of Sir A. F. Rahman Hall, Haji Mohammad Mohsin Hall, and Bijoy Ekattor Hall will vote at the Nawab Nawab Ali Chowdhury Senate Building, while students of Surya Sen Hall, Muktijoddha Ziaur Rahman Hall, Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman Hall, and Kabi Jasim Uddin Hall will vote at Udayan School and College. Students of Kabi Sufia Kamal Hall will vote at the University’s Department of Geology, and Shamsun Nahar Hall students will vote at ULAB School and College.


Another notification released the same day stated that all campaign banners and billboards put up by candidates on campus must be removed immediately. Campaigning may resume in accordance with the election code of conduct from the designated date.
