Dhaka University Central Students’ Union (DUCSU) Vice President candidate Abid has rejected the results of the recent elections, citing alleged manipulation. He posted a Facebook status early Wednesday. He wrote: “I had anticipated this planned irregularity soon after today afternoon. They simply filled in the numbers as they wished. I reject this staged farce."

ঢাকা বিশ্ববিদ্যালয় কেন্দ্রীয় ছাত্র সংসদ (ডাকসু) নির্বাচনের সম্পূর্ণ ফলাফল প্রকাশের আগেই ভিপি প্রার্থী আবিদ ফলাফল প্রত্যাখ্যান করেছেন। তিনি দাবি করেছেন, নির্বাচনের ফলাফল 'পরিকল্পিত কারচুপি' দ্বারা প্রভাবিত হয়েছে। মঙ্গলবার দিবাগত রাত ২:৩০ মিনিটে এক ফেসবুক স্টাটাসের মাধ্যমে তিনি এ কথা জানান। আবিদ বলেন, 'পরিকল্পিত কারচুপির এই ফলাফল দুপুরের পরপরই অনুমান করেছি। নিজেদের মতো করে সংখ্যা বসিয়ে নিন। এই পরিকল্পিত প্রহসন প্রত্যাখ্যান করলাম।'
