Earthquake felt in Capital, other parts of the Country

Earthquakes were felt in various parts of the country, including the capital. The earthquake was felt around 9:28pm on Monday. There were no immediate reports of casualties.

Assistant Meteorologist of the Meteorological Department Farzana Yasmin confirmed the matter to the media. She said that the earthquake occurred at 9:28 pm and 54 seconds. Its magnitude was 4 on the Richter scale. The epicenter of the earthquake was in Dhaka.

However, according to the National Center for Seismology of India, the magnitude of the earthquake was 4 on the Richter scale and its epicenter was Rupganj in Narayanganj.

Earlier, a 4.4 magnitude earthquake was felt at 9:29pm on June 18. Apart from this, a 4.5 magnitude earthquake was felt in the country at 9:40pm on June 11 and a 5.6 magnitude earthquake was felt at 11:37pm on June 7.
