A 5.2 magnitude earthquake jolted Dhaka and some other parts of Bangladesh onFriday morning. The tremor was felt around 10:38am and it lasted for a few seconds. The epicenter of the earthquake was 7km away from Ghorashal, according to the United States Geological Survey (USGS). The other affected country is India. No immediate news of casualties found.

ঢাকাসহ দেশের কয়েকটি স্থানে ৫.২ মাত্রার ভূমিকম্প হয়েছে। শুক্রবার যুক্তরাষ্ট্রের জিওলজিক্যাল সার্ভে (ইউএসজিএস) জানিয়েছে, বাংলাদেশ সময় সকাল ১০টা ৩৮ মিনিটে এই ভূমিকম্প অনুভূত হয়। এতে আরও বলা হয়, ভূমিকম্পের কেন্দ্রস্থল ঘোড়াশাল থেকে ৭ কিলোমিটার দূরে ছিল। ভূমিকম্পের কারণে এখন পর্যন্ত কোনো হতাহতের সংবাদ পাওয়া যায়নি। সশস্ত্র বাহিনীর বীর শহীদদের প্রতি প্রধান উপদেষ্টার শ্রদ্ধা প্রধান উপদেষ্টা মুহাম্মদ ইউনূস সশস্ত্র বাহিনী দিবস উপলক্ষে বাংলাদেশ সশস্ত্র বাহিনীর বীর শহীদদের প্রতি গভীর শ্রদ্ধা নিবেদন করেছেন।
