Earthquake jolts Dhaka, parts of Bangladesh

An earthquake has jolted Dhaka and some other parts of the country.

The quake was felt around 5:11pm on Sunday.

According to the United States Geological Survey (USGS), the epicentre of the earthquake was 16 km from Dhekiajuli of Assam in India .

Its magnitude was 5.9 on the Richter scale. No casualty was reported in Bangladesh so far.
