Earthquake strikes again in Sylhet
An earthquake has been felt in Sylhet again after nine days. A mild earthquake was felt at 12:46:56 pm on Thursday (February 19).
The information given in the WhatsApp group of the Sylhet Meteorological Office.
According to the notification signed by Farzana Sultana, Assistant Meteorologist of the Meteorological Department, the epicenter of the 4.1 earthquake was in Chhatak upazila of Sunamganj.
In the words of meteorologists, many did not feel it because it was a 'mild earthquake'.
No damage was reported in the earthquake till the time of writing this report.
Earlier, Sylhet was shaken by an earthquake on February 10. The earthquake felt at 5:32 pm that day had a magnitude of 4 on the Richter scale.
The epicenter of the earthquake that day was in Gowainghat Upazila of Sylhet.
On February 1, another mild earthquake was felt in various parts of the country, including Sylhet. The mild earthquake of magnitude 3 was felt at 4 am.
Incidentally, there is panic and anxiety among the general public as Sylhet, which is known as an earthquake-prone area, has been experiencing frequent earthquakes in recent times.
