On the third day of appeals against the returning officers’ decisions on nomination papers for the upcoming 13th national parliamentary election, the Election Commission (EC) heard 70 appeals on Monday, January 12, approving 40 of them. The hearing was held at the auditorium (Basement-2) of the Election Building in Agargaon, Dhaka. According to the EC, 25 appeals were rejected. Among these, one appellant was absent, four appeals were kept pending, and one appeal was not heard. On Sunday, January 11, appeals numbered 71 to 140 were heard. On Monday, appeals 141 to 210 were heard. Appeals numbered 211 to 280 will be heard on Tuesday, January 13.

আসন্ন ত্রয়োদশ জাতীয় সংসদ নির্বাচনে মনোনয়নপত্র বাছাই নিয়ে রিটার্নিং কর্মকর্তার সিদ্ধান্তের বিরুদ্ধে আপিলের তৃতীয় দিনে সোমবার (১২ জানুয়ারি) ইলেকশন কমিশন (ইসি) ৭০ জনের আপিল শুনানি করেছে। এর মধ্যে ৪০ জনের আপিল মঞ্জুর করা হয়েছে। রাজধানীর আগারগাঁওয়ের নির্বাচন ভবনের অডিটোরিয়ামে (বেজমেন্ট-২) এ শুনানি অনুষ্ঠিত হয়। ইসির তথ্য অনুযায়ী, ২৫ জনের আপিল নামঞ্জুর করা হয়েছে। এর মধ্যে একজন উপস্থিত ছিলেন না, চারজনের আপিল পেন্ডিং রাখা হয়েছে এবং একজনের আপিল শোনা হয়নি। রোববার (১১ জানুয়ারি) ৭১ থেকে ১৪০ নম্বর আপিলের শুনানি অনুষ্ঠিত হয়েছে। সোমবার ১৪১ থেকে ২১০ নম্বর আপিল শোনা হয়। মঙ্গলবার (১৩ জানুয়ারি) ২১১ থেকে ২৮০ নম্বর আপিলের শুনানি অনুষ্ঠিত হবে।
