EC approves transfer of 338 OCs, 110 UNOs

The Election Commission (EC) on Thursday approved a proposal of Public Administration Ministry and the Police Headquarters (PHQ) for the transfer of 338 Officer-in-charge (OCs) and 110 Upazila Nirbahi Officers (UNOs) ahead of the 12th general elections.

The EC's approval came after a meeting in this regard on Thursday at Election Bhaban.

On November 30, the Election Commission directed the Ministry of Public Administration and the Ministry of Home Affairs to transfer all Upazila Nirbahi Officers (UNOs) and Officer-in-Charge (OCs) of all Police Stations. For this, EC also asks to send the proposal of who will be transferred.

According to the directive, the Ministry of Public Administration sent a proposal and the EC approved the transfer of 47 UNOs. On Thursday, the commission also approved the proposal to transfer 110 UNOs and 338 OCs.
