EC asks field officials to submit list of polling stations

The 12th national parliamentary election is slated to be held on January 7, 2024. For this, the Election Commission (EC) has asked the field officials to submit the lists of polling stations. A letter, signed by the senior assistant secretary of EC Raushan Ara Begum, has been sent to the returning officers of all districts.

In the letter, EC wrote that the list of draft polling stations was published on August 16 as per the rules for setting up polling stations. The preliminary list of potential polling stations was prepared on September 17. On the occasion of the elections, the returning officers will visit potential polling stations finalized on September 17 in accordance with the polling station establishment and management policies for the elections.

If any changes, substitutions, or corrections are required in the potential polling stations, the polling stations will be finalized after completion thereof following the rules mentioned. The revised final list of polling stations as per the attached table is requested to be sent by courier in hard copies within five working days.
