EC issues gazette of 115 election symbols, ‘Boat’ suspended

Ahead of the 13th National Parliamentary Election, the Election Commission (EC) has issued a gazette containing 115 symbols for political parties and independent candidates. The ruling Awami League’s electoral symbol ‘Boat’, however, has been suspended.

The gazette, signed by EC Senior Secretary Akhtar Ahmed, was published on Wednesday, September 24.

According to the revised Election Conduct Rules, the 115 approved symbols are:
