Ahead of the 13th National Parliamentary Election, the Election Commission (EC) continues its series of dialogues with registered political parties.

As part of the process, the second day of discussions will take place today (November 16), with 12 parties participating.

According to Ashadul Haque, Assistant Director of the EC’s Public Relations Wing: Gono Forum, Gono Front, Islamic Front Bangladesh, Islami Oikya Jote, Bangladesh Supreme Party, and Bangladesh Jatiya Party will join the session from 10am to 12pm.

Bangladesh Samajtantrik Dal, Bangladesh National Awami Party, Trinomul BNP, Krishak Sramik Janata League, Bangladesh Khelafat Majlis, and Islami Andolan Bangladesh will participate in the session from 2pm to 4pm.

Currently, 53 political parties are registered with the EC. BNP and Jamaat remain on the list, while Awami League’s registration is suspended. Registration for PDP, Freedom Party, and Oikya-boddho Nagorik Andolon has been cancelled.

Additionally, three new parties—National Citizen Party (NCP), Bangladesh Amjonogon Party, and Socialist Party of Bangladesh–Marxist—have been notified for final registration approval.

If no objections are raised, they will receive certificates after 12 November.
