Students in Chattogram have held a symbolic 'Gayebana Janaza' for Education Minister Dr. ANM Ehsanul Haque Milon in protest against the decision to hold HSC and equivalent exams despite adverse weather and flood conditions. At the same time, they demanded the suspension of the ongoing HSC and equivalent exams.

A group of students held the program in the city's Sholashahar area on Tuesday. During this time, they raised various slogans demanding the postponement of the exams and called for a quick decision on the matter.

The students participating in the program said that exam candidates in many parts of the country are suffering immensely due to the recent floods and disasters. If the exams continue in such a situation, students, especially those from flood-hit areas, will be discriminated against. Therefore, they demanded that the exams be postponed until the situation normalizes and a new schedule be announced.

At one stage, the students held a 'Gayebana Janaza' for the Education Minister as a symbolic protest. Later, they ended the program peacefully.

Meanwhile, agitating students held protests and road blockades in various parts of the country, including the capital, on Tuesday demanding the postponement of the HSC exams, the rescheduling of the July 13 exams, and the resignation of the Education Minister. Speaking in the National Parliament on the same day, the Education Minister said that he regrets if anyone was hurt by his personal comments.
