Educationist Professor Jabdul Haque, former Acting Director General of Directorate of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education (MAUSI) has passed away. He died at 10:33 am today, (Tuesday, July 16) while undergoing treatment at Rajshahi Medical College and Hospital. He was suffering from lung disease as a result of two rounds of corona infection. He was admitted to the hospital a few days ago. Since then, he was in ICU. Life support was given from Monday. He was the former principal of Government Azizul Haque University College and Rajshahi New Govt Degree College. There are numerous students of the professor at various levels across the country and outside the country.

মাধ্যমিক ও উচ্চমাধ্যমিক শিক্ষা অধিদপ্তরের (মাউশি) সাবেক ভারপ্রাপ্ত মহাপরিচালক শিক্ষাবিদ প্রফেসর যবদুল হক মারা গেছেন। মঙ্গলবার (১৬ জুলাই) সকাল ১০টা ৩৩ মিনিটে রাজশাহী মেডিক্যাল কলেজ (রামেক) হাসপাতালে চিকিৎসাধীন অবস্থায় তার মৃত্যু হয়েছে (ইন্নালিল্লাহি ওয়া ইন্না ইলাইহি রাজিউন)। দুই দফায় করোনা আক্রান্ত হওয়ার ফলে ফুসফুসজনিত রোগে ভুগছিলেন তিনি। মারা যাওয়ার কয়েক দিন আগে প্রফেসর যবদুলকে রামেকে ভর্তি করা হয়। তারপর থেকে আইসিইউতে ছিলেন তিনি। সোমবার থেকে তাকে লাইফ সাপোর্ট রাখা হয়। মরহুম এই শিক্ষাবিদ সরকারি আজিজুল হক বিশ্ববিদ্যালয় কলেজ এবং রাজশাহীর নিউ গভ. ডিগ্রি কলেজের সাবেক প্রিন্সিপাল ছিলেন। সারা দেশে ও দেশের বাইরে বিভিন্ন পর্যায়ে তার অসংখ্যা ছাত্রছাত্রী রয়েছে।
