Eid holiday return journey to Dhaka easier this year
As the Eid holidays come to an end, people are returning to Dhaka with relative ease. Unlike previous years, there has been no intense crowd or pressure at stations and terminals.
Passengers have been traveling smoothly by train, bus, and launch.
At Kamalapur Railway Station, trains, including those from the northern region, arrived on time, and passengers disembarked without difficulty. Travelers like Joynal from the Nil Sagar Express and Aminul Islam from Dinajpur reported a relaxed journey with no overcrowding or delays.
Similar scenes were observed at Mohakhali, Gabtoli, and Sayedabad bus terminals, where buses left on schedule, and passengers boarded without hassle. Fewer complaints about ticket shortages or extra charges were noted this time.
Experts attribute the smoother return journey to longer government holidays, staggered returns, and increased transport services. The advance ticketing system and law enforcement supervision also contributed to a more comfortable experience. However, experts warn that travel pressure may rise in the coming days.
