'Eid Mubarak', CA greets everyone after casting vote

Chief Adviser Professor Muhammad Yunus casts his vote at Gulshan Model School and College polling centre on Thursday morning.

Dr Yunus exercised his franchise at 10:25am in the 13th Parliamentary Election and the Referendum on the July National Charter.

Earlier, the Chief Adviser arrived at the polling centre around 10:20am.

After casting his vote, he told reporters, "From today, we have the opportunity to create a new Bangladesh in every position. Today, we celebrate our birthday all day long. Everyone is celebrating and will definitely hold a referendum. The votes of the candidates are important. The referendum is very important. I urge everyone to participate in the referendum so that we can build a new Bangladesh. Today is a day of joy for everyone in Bangladesh. A day of liberation. The end of our nightmare, the beginning of a new dream. I congratulate everyone. Eid Mubarak."
