The 10-day Eid-ul-Azha holiday for government offices, courts, banks, and financial institutions ends today (Saturday), with regular operations set to resume from Sunday (June 15).

While many private institutions resumed work earlier in the week, public sector employees return to duty after an extended break that began on June 5. Eid-ul-Azha was celebrated nationwide on June 7.

Initially, the government had declared a six-day holiday from June 5 to 10. Later, two additional days—June 11 and 12—were added by executive order. Including the weekends, the holiday period extended to a full 10 days, ending on June 14.

To facilitate this long break, the government took an unprecedented step by keeping offices open on two previous Saturdays, May 17 and 24—normally designated as weekly holidays. This adjustment allowed public sector employees to enjoy an uninterrupted 10-day Eid vacation.
