Eid-ul-Azha on June 7 as Moon sighted
The crescent moon of Zilhajj was sighted on Wednesday, so Bangladesh will celebrate Eid-ul-Azha on June 7.
This information was announced on Wednesday evening (May 28) after a meeting of the National Moon Sighting Committee.
The meeting took place at the Islamic Foundation office located in the Baitul Mukarram National Mosque in the capital.
After reviewing reports from various district administrations, the Meteorological Department, and field offices of the Islamic Foundation, the committee confirmed the moon sighting.
As per the decision, the month of Zilhajj will begin on Thursday, making Eid-ul-Azha fall on Saturday (June 7).
