Election delay will increase pressure on government: Gayeshwar
BNP Standing Committee member Gayeshwar Chandra Roy has warned that continued delays in holding the national election will expose the government to growing criticism and scrutiny.
Speaking at Milestone School while expressing condolences to the family of Nusrat Jahan Anika, a third-grade student who died in a recent plane crash, Gayeshwar said the interim government’s lack of coordination and experience has led to controversy. He added that without an elected government, the current administration is evading responsibility for various crises facing the country.
“The longer the election is delayed, the more questions the government will face,” he said, urging a swift election to prevent further instability.
Gayeshwar also called for a fair and transparent investigation into the plane crash to hold those responsible accountable and prevent future tragedies.
