Election to be held in early February: Chief Adviser

Chief Adviser of the interim government Professor Dr Muhammad Yunus has said that the election will be held grandly in the first half of February. He stated that this election will mark a true rebirth of the nation.

He made the remarks on Sunday (September 14) during a meeting of the Consensus Commission with political parties at the Foreign Service Academy on Bailey Road in the capital.

Dr Muhammad Yunus said, “This is the only opportunity, and we must seize it. There is no way to deviate from it. Call it compromise, call it unity or anything else, when we go to the election, we will all go together with consensus. There will be no disagreements among us.”

He further said that political parties must reach an understanding to build a new Bangladesh, and in this regard, there is no scope for failure.
