11 members of 'Mizu Gang' held in Rajshahi

RAB members have captured 11 persons including the kingpin of 'Mizu Gang' during the preparation of robbery in Rajshahi.

RAB-5 captain Lt. Colonel Munim Ferdous confirmed the matter at a press briefing on Wednesday.

He said that all the detainees are the leaders and activities of Jamaat-e-Islami and its student wing Chhatra Shibir. They were picked up from Chhoto Bongram area of the city on Tuesday night.

RAB has recovered mentionable numbers of local weapons, 12 mobile phones and three motorcycles from their possession.

The arrestee are--Mizanur Rahman, 30, Law Secretary of Rajshahi city Shibir, Md. Bakul, 38, Iman, 24, Shakib, 25, Robin, 20, Rabbi, 24, Aman, 22, Bijoy, 17, Anik, 21, Yamin Ali, 28, and Biplab Ali, 22.

According to RAB, the accused are members of "Mizu Gang". They used to spread terror in different parts of the city.
