11th season of BPL set to kick off today

The 11th season of the Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) is set to begin today (Monday). On the opening day of the tournament, two matches will be held. The first match will feature defending champions Fortune Barishal against Durbar Rajshahi at 1:30 pm at Mirpur Sher-e-Bangla Cricket Stadium. At 6:30 pm, Rangpur Riders will take on Dhaka Capitals.

This year's BPL will span 50 days. After the Dhaka leg, the tournament will shift to Sylhet, where the second phase will take place from January 6 to 13, featuring 12 matches at the tea garden stadium.
From January 16 to 23, the Chattogram leg will take place, with 12 matches scheduled. The final phase of the BPL will return to Mirpur, where the league stage, playoffs, and final will be held from January 26 to February 7.

Seven teams are participating this season are - Dhaka Capitals, Chittagong Kings, Durbar Rajshahi, Fortune Barishal, Khulna Tigers, Rangpur Riders, and Sylhet Strikers.
