12 Palestinians killed in Israeli strikes on Gaza
At least 12 more Palestinians have been killed in Israeli attacks on Gaza. Among the victims are several women. According to a report by Al Jazeera, they lost their lives during Israeli military strikes across the Gaza Strip early Monday morning.
Gaza’s Health Ministry stated that at least 12 Palestinians were killed in Israeli attacks since dawn on Monday. Among them, six people died in a bombing on a tent in Khan Yunis, while four others were killed in an attack on a house in the southern Maan area. Additionally, two women lost their lives in an Israeli attack on the Nuseirat refugee camp in central Gaza.
Meanwhile, the total death toll in Gaza due to Israeli aggression has now exceeded 50,000. According to a statement from Gaza’s Health Ministry, as of Sunday, 50,021 people have been killed, and 113,274 have been injured in Israeli attacks.
It is worth mentioning that on October 7, 2023, Hamas launched a surprise attack on Israel, killing around 1,200 people and taking 251 hostages. In response, Israel launched a military operation in Gaza on the same day.
After 15 months of continuous war, Israel agreed to a ceasefire on January 19 under pressure from the United States and the international community. However, following disagreements over the withdrawal of troops from Gaza after the first phase of the ceasefire, the Israeli military (IDF) resumed airstrikes on March 18.
